[edit] Initial Meeting
I would like to invite all five of you to a meeting to discuss my dissertation. I would like each of you to serve on my committee. This meeting will serve as an introduction to the work I have already done [1] and what I intend to do. This is an opportunity for you to get the information you need to decide whether you'd like to serve as part of my committee. Attending this meeting in no way commits you one way or the other.
I would like to have this meeting by the end of September. By providing the times when you're typically available in a week (below), you can help me find a time when we can meet together.
I very much look forward to working together with all of you. I have the greatest confidence that the work in my dissertation and beyond will have an important impact on a group of scientists using stable isotopes to understand diet sourcing. As evidence of public interest, I have already been asked to serve as a consultant on an NSF grant [2] to work on the next section of my dissertation.
